When linking back to your home page, many people link back to index.html or some
version of that. Remember, it's very important when you link back to your home
page from the other pages on your site that you simply give the full URL and
that's it. For example, if your home page address is www.yourpage.com, then your
link would simply be http://arif-suhaimi.blogspot.com/. Don't link back using the
index or anything else on the end. This is confusing to search engines, as there
will be multiple styles of the URL linking to the same page. It can cause
duplicate content issues.
Make sure that your site is registered with Google
Webmaster Tools. Go to Webmaster tools, register your account there, verify your
domain, and upload your site map and tell Google what your site map's URL is.
Your site map can be generated by any number of means. There are several free
options on the web to generate site map with. The site map is simply a way for
Google to easily see all the links on your site.
All the content on your site must be original content. You cannot copy content from even your own site's other pages. Say you have another web site along the same theme as another web site. You can't bring the content from another web site over to your new web site. That will create duplicate content issues, and Google will penalize the site significantly.
